Professional, prompt, well organised, and enthusiastic! These guys make an easy day of diving, don't look any further. Collection/drop off at your hotel, food and drink on the boat, we'll structured dive briefs and great knowledge of the dive site. I was lucky enough to have Jean Louis as my dive guide at Richelieu Rock, I couldn't have asked for anything more. His photography in the water is amazing 👏 You won't regret booking with Wetzone.

We travelled to Khao Lak over Christmas 2024 - I wanted a dive school for my three teenage kids to complete their Part B OW. Many of the dive schools based here appear to offer live-aboard boats but we wanted day trips only as my wife doesn't dive. We selected Wetzone because of their fast boat (the Blue Marlin) allowing us to visit the Similan Islands NP as day-trips only. The reviews we read about Wetzone before booking all seemed very positive. We had a great experience over 3 separate days of diving. Michael was super helpful in the booking process and confirming that the Part A Referral I was signing my kids up to would be satisfactory for their OW qualification. Diving was great - the whole crew looked after us very well. Special shout out to Ralf, Rony, Jean-Louie and Nils who all provided guiding/ instruction for us across the three days. Especially big thank yous to Rony and Jean-Louie who shared photos they took with divers on their respective dives - they made my attempts at photographing what we say appear very amateur! What a treat to get such high quality images as a memory of the dives. All the equipment appeared to be high quality with the option to upgrade the tank to a higher capacity if you think you might burn through your air quickly. Thanks to the whole team - we really enjoyed our diving and would recommend Wetzone to Khao Lak visitors. Photo credits to Rony and Jean-Louie.

Wetzone is a well-organized and highly professional dive center. From the office staff & owners to the instructors and Thai crew…! Booking is efficient, with all details clearly communicated by Rena. Mon’s warm hospitality in the office makes you feel instantly welcome, and Michael handles any requests promptly. On the dive day, pickup is perfectly on time, and the entire team of instructors is competent and safety-focused - on the boat and under water!! As a nervous diver on my first trip with Wetzone, I felt well taken care of, and saw the team expertly adapt to each diver’s needs. Most importantly, they keep diving fun and make the experience truly worthwhile. A fantastic experience from start to finish!

As professional divers my boyfriend and I couldn't recommend Michael's dive operation more. We did 6 days of diving a total of 12 dives with Wetzone Divers over our two week stay in Khao Lak. On our check in to the dive centre we were given a warm welcome from Michael and importantly  a clear picture of what to expect. Michael briefed  us on all aspects of the trip from the boat set up, journey times and procedures, dive sites and marine park standards (reef safe sun cream, no gloves, no hooks.) Always great to know that safety sits paramount when heading out on a dive and Wetzone holds this standard as paramount. Having arrived in Khao Lak in rather tumultuous weather (late start to high season) we had our first dive cancelled two days in advance due to the high wind. Having just two weeks in a place with so much to do, knowing what you're doing or not doing in advance is really crucial to allow you to make other plans, so we appreciated not having to wait around to find out about the dives. The first dive day was still a little choppy, due to the direction of the dive site we slammed headfirst into waves all the way. It was not a decision taken without caution and full consideration for the duration of the outwards journey,  we had been informed we may need to head back before we departed, but we were happy to take the risk (bring us to Richelieu!!!) I'm very happy to say that this was the only really rough day on the sea but arguably speedboats don't sit well with everyone, something to keep in mind if you suffer motion sickness. That being said, they brief this fully before even starting the trip and offer out free anti nausea tablets with a clear warning of the benefits and side effects of taking too many.. seeing unicorns and rainbows underwater may be one of them. The boat crew and captain provided professionalism and prioritised safety on each trip whilst the dive guides took attentive care of their guests. We dived as a buddy team but appreciated Louis showing us the frog fish and Ruben pointing out the cuttlefish. Thanks to all the instructors and guides, including Pepe and Nils. You'll be in great hands to dive with any of the team this season! The boat is great, although we have our own gear it's clear to see the rental equipment is in great shape and well taken care of. The lunches provided us with some of the most flavoursome and well made Thai food we had during by our stay and the plastic free refillable water bottle system is wonderful, great to see dive centres genuinely sticking by their eco friendly status from the retainer tank on the toilet to the suncream to the water bottles and complimentary  fizzy drinks in glass bottles.  The complimentary taxis from the hotel to the boat and back were well organised and timely each day too, each day we were greeted warmly on pick up by a member of the wetzone team. Then we get to the diving, well, it's really down to expectations and individual experiences, but as a couple who have worked and dived in some truly beautiful, remote and untouched reefs around the world, we would undoubtedly say this stands out as amongst the best we've experienced. Genuinely hoping it remains to be as respected and protected by all the dive operations as it is by Wetzone divers, to preserve its magnificent ecosystem, captivating behaviour and natural beauty for generations to come. We've witnessed stunning dive sites get ruined in a matter of months due to guides inability to respect the reef over the opportunity for a good tip, ultimately it is down to divers to respect the reef and dive within their means. Richelieu's topography can leave some new divers a bit overwhelmed when there's a bit of current there, so please be sure to watch your fins and stay at a fair distance if you're not too confident. With so much to see it's better not to get too close but to stand back and just enjoy the show! With great thanks to Michael and all his team, until next time, happy bubbles!
